Please Buy These Poor Little Rich Girls Some Panties
By: Linda M. McCloud
By now we all have heard the stories about Britney, Lindsay and Paris going out without wearing any underwear. Most of us maybe laughed and thought to ourselves that these poor little rich girls were just trying harder to get more attention, more press. But it seems it is more than that. They are just part of a huge trend that is going on in warm weather places like Southern California and Miami, according to a recent article published in Allure magazine.
Many young (under 40) starlets and want to be starlets are showing up everywhere, including fittings and shootings without any undergarments. It has become such a problem that the article stated that many wardrobe stylists are prepared, making sure they have underwear on hand for their stars to wear.
It all sounds so funny, at first. Then you continue reading the article and it goes on to say about how difficult it is becoming for owners of boutiques. Here are these girls, some with plenty of money to spare, coming into these shops. They try on clothes. If they aren't wearing any underwear and they aren't buying the clothes, it is now becoming a health and sanitation concern. That fact alone can freak out any other want to be customers.
As I continue reading the article, I began to wonder why these girls and young women don't want to wear their undergarments. The article stated the reason could be the time they devote to their bodies. All the time they spent on waxing, exercising, and dieting wasn't giving them the attention they craved. They needed to show their bodies off more. By not wearing any underwear, they were getting more attention.
Others will say fashion is the reason. Okay, if they were wearing long, tight dresses that showed their panty lines that may be a reason. But these girls are wearing no underwear in the middle of the day, with shorts and short skirts, while doing their ordinary every day business. To me, this is just craving attention in all the wrong ways.
